Today...we eat like OLYMPIANS....at least that's what McDonalds says..

This is the kind of night it is...fries, chicken nuggets, a pickle and a big glass of milk.

I worked all day and came home to work on some projects, so I decided on an easy meal for Andy and I. :-)

Since we don't eat fast food, this is the next best thing. MMMM :-D

Saturday I came home to these....BEST BIRTHDAY WEEK EVER! ;-)

While I was at work on Saturday, Andy was at home baking up these raspberry brownies from SCRATCH. My boyfriend is pretty much the best. ;-)

Kelley sent me this for my Birthday!!!!

I am so excited about this bag! It's going out to play this weekend for sure! :-D

The Way To A Man's Heart Is Through His Stomach ;-)

Step 1. Brown onions.

Step 2. Mix ingredients for spaetzle.

Step 3. Continue to brown onions, and boil water for spaetzle.

Step 4. Put dough into spaetzle hobel, move back and forth so noodles form and fall into boiling water.

Step 5. Layer spaetzle, swiss cheese, and onions in pan.

Step 6. Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.

Step 7. ENJOY!

Birthday Dress!

So yesterday I was walking home from work and on the way I decided to make a little stop at a boutique that I've mentioned on here before called FRESH, it's a cute little boutique in Georgetown. I already had my "birthday outfit" so I really wasn't looking for anything in particular. After looking around for a minute I spotted a fuchsia and black dress that I just had to try on because it was so cute. I tried it on and went downstairs to show Marti. (She is one of the owners and I always think it's rewarding to see stuff that you buy for your store on your customers) After modeling it for a minute, I went back upstairs and changed into my regular clothes and told Marti I would be back but I really didn't need A THING right now and neither did my budget. So Marti goes behind the register, grabs a bag, and sticks the dress I had just tried on in it, hands it to me, and says "Happy Birthday!" Puzzled...I was all like what do you mean "Happy Birthday". She was like I'm giving you the dress because you looked so great in it and it's your birthday so..."Happy Birthday". OMG...are you kidding??? I don't think a store has ever given me anything for FREE! Seriously...I'm living in Georgetown forever. The three reason's why: 1. Free chocolates every month! 2. Free cupcakes! 3. Free "birthday" dresses.

So of course my other "birthday outfit" went out the window.

Today...

I have class all day and am getting super pumped about Saturdays plans to go out for my Birthday!

After all my deliciously unhealthy food yesterday I weighed myself this morning and lost another pound. WHAT THE HECK??? I just don't know anymore...

So pretty much what I've decided is that I'm not going to worry so much...because moving to DC is apparently diet enough. ;-)

Wonderful Wednesday! Because....

My sweet older sister, Nadine sent me this great birthday gift. She made me two accent pillow cases that go with our new duvet cover. I can't wait till we can drive again and go to Walmart to get the pillows so I can use them. Plus she always finds the sweetest cards. Thanks Nadine! I love you. :-)



For dessert we had chocolates from Godiva...two of them were free. :-)

Valentine's Day!

I cut a heart out of a piece of card stock and used it as a stencil, it made it easy to just sprinkle the sprinkles right on. :-)








I was a work most of Valentine's Day this year so I decided that I at least wanted to get in the spirit by wearing my lovey pink tights! They were a hit with my co-workers and also the customers.

I also decided that all of us deserved a sweet treat at work so I made Valentines cupcakes. The hearts turned out a little more "abstract" than I hoped for but I thought they were pretty cute anyways and they were delicious, so that's all that really matters. :-)




Watch: This watch was a Birthday gift from my Mommy like 7 years ago and I've loved it! It also came with a white band and a gray band, to change the bands undo the little buckles and there you go.

Today I knew my only time out of the house would be to go to the grocery store. The rest of the day would be spent on my tush doing homework. For this reason, I decided I just wanted something super comfy to wear today. After going through my things and exhausting all options in my half of the closet, I decided to look in Andy's and ended up wearing his sweater. :-) I love this sweater and thought it would be a great length to wear with leggings. (Luckily Andy's pretty slim, so it wasn't too baggy.) For a little feminine touch I added my black pearl necklace and earrings. I also had on bangles but after almost losing them on my walk to the grocery store when they decided to fly off of my wrist and into the snow, I put them in my purse and that's where they stayed. I had on my black slouch boots which went great with the rest of the look.
